Creating 'space' and switching to TNs

Well it’s been a minute.

And by a minute I obviously mean more than 2 years – yikes.

I’m not too sure why I let things lapse the way I did….exhaustion? Theatre Rehearsals? Insecurity?

All I know now is that I am feeling more creative and inspired than ever, and I so I just opened up a folder today and started typing.

Maybe it’s the nesting…with Baby Girl due in August, I’m just feeling a strong pull to organize and Marie Kondo the shit out of my life. In the past month my husband and I have cleaned out our storage locker, thrown away bags of ‘stuff’ that was dirty, broken or unusable, reorganized our basement, donated my husband’s bachelor’ pad furniture to Second Chance, and given 28 bags of housewares, bakeware and clothing to Purple Heart – and we live in a 928 square foot Baltimore City rowhome – where did all this crap come from? An our house wasn’t even messy to start with! Crazy how much things can accumulate.

We’ve also started saving for Baby Girl and trying to figure out childcare – and on two teacher salaries let me tell you it is no laughing matter. Trying to penny pinch, increase our income and clip coupons has been so helpful with Ebates, Ibotta and [also considering] starting a summer job with VIPKids, and I’m just feeling this renewed burst of energy – feeling ready to take on the world!

In some way, clearing out all this space in our home and in our bank account has given me the space in my head to take up my hobbies again. I’m just feeling so drawn back to this planning outlet- Moana being drawn to the sea comes to my mind for some reason, or the gold calling to Captain Barbosa in Pirates of the Caribbean (what an image…HAH!) I had no idea how much this excess of ‘stuff’ was weighing me down – and I just find it so interesting that in purging my home of the excess, I feel more energetic and my mind is clearer. I don’t know why we didn’t do this sooner.

So anyway, BACK TO PLANNING.

I am currently loving TN Life, and just want to share a few setups that make me so freaking happy.

To begin with: Harry Potter Themed TN:
